Abstract
In this session, the presenters will investigate and interpret ways images are both used to understand scientific concepts and also present ‘science’ to an audience. In some cases the imagery used provides a useful insight into conceptually confusing phenomena, in others the selective use of images can unconsciously bias the observer to a particular conclusion. These ideas will be investigated from a multidisciplinary and international perspective.
