Backstage at the Journals
[Note: This is a special session being held over lunch on Friday.] Designed primarily for graduate students and others new to academic publishing, this informal session will provide an opportunity to hear advice from members of the editorial staffs of the Journal of the History of Biology, Isis, Philosophy of Science, and Studies in the History and Philosophy of the Life Sciences (perhaps also Biology & Philosophy). The staff members will speak very briefly, but mainly the session will consist of general questions and answers about submitting papers, refereeing, what common pitfalls to avoid, etc. Organizer and Chair: Anne Mylott
