The International Society for the History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Biology (ISHPSSB) brings together scholars from diverse disciplines, including the life sciences as well as history, philosophy, and social studies of science. The biennial ISHPSSB summer meetings are known for innovative, transdisciplinary sessions, and for fostering informal, co-operative exchanges and on-going collaborations.

Good news! ISHPSSB is still accepting proposals for 2024 off-year workshops. Even better, funding has been increased to help support these workshops. ISHPSSB off-year workshops are intended to support ISHPSSB community meetups and recruitment outside of the general meeting. They may be on focused research topics, professional development, or other areas of interest for ISHPSSB members. Proposals are evaluated on a rolling basis and may be submitted at this link.
