We would like to organize a special session (diverse format) on biology and human rights. Participation in this section will not count against the "one presentation" rule (i.e. you may participate in this session even if you are participating in an organized session or giving an individual paper or poster). It is a diverse format session, envisaged as a round table with 5-6 participants. Presentations should be short, alternative formats are encouraged, and discussion among participants and audience is expected.

SUMMARY:This session will strive to present and discuss specific cases or generalized epistemic positions on the biological consequences of human rights infringement /subversion to humans, animals, and environments, such as : the implications of inequalities in access to resources (water, food, and health care) on well being of both the ecological and human communities, biological consequences of violent conflict and ethnic cleansing to children, and their resulting transgenerational impact, as well as that on intergenerational relations and social structure, the subversion of human rights and resulting biological- physical and mental - harm to refugees and asylum seekers, (irreversible) harm to biodiversity from a human rights perspective. Etc.
